What about stains?

If you use fleece liners you get minimal stains. That’s why I supply a free homemade fleece liner with all nappies that don’t come with one from the manufacturer.

Poo really doesn’t stain that badly. You are more likely to get hard to shift food stains on the outside of your nappies from baby led weaning. The lure of keeping your little one in a cloth nappy at home without any bottoms is just too tempting as they are just so cute to look at, and this has caused me more issues than actual poo!

The power of the sun!

If you get a stain then the power of the sun works miracles. However be careful with leaving wraps, pocket nappies or all-in-ones in the sun for too long as they can degrade. Short bursts of up to couple of hours is enough.

Most stains will wash out after several normal washes. Or you can try a trouble shooting wash (see wash routine).
